Critical Threat: Iron Giant Hunt

The Critical Threat event is entering its second round. After facing Sephiroth as the final boss the first time, you now have to defeat the currently most difficult enemy in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis: The Astral Iron Giant.

Hunt for Tickets

The event is the same as against Sephiroth. You have to defeat the Astral Iron Giant in different power levels and get Bronze and Silver Tickets. In addition, you can get additional tickets through event and daily missions. These can be exchanged in a lottery for normal crafting and enhancement material, as well as for Memory Crystals for Red XIII and his special weapon Iron Collar. The weapon has the C.Ability Spiral Swing, which deals magical non-elemental damage and lowers the enemy’s PDEF.

Besides the Iron Collar, there are two new weapons and equipment that come with the new Stamp Card. Zack gets the Black Whiskers and the outfit Black Hound and Glenn gets the Pumpkinmare and the sword Pumpkin Lamppost. While Zack gets a werewolf outfit, Glenn appears as a pumpkin. This actually fits more with the Pumpkin Fest event, which runs until tomorrow. The Pumpkin Lamppost is especially interesting, because it not only reduces the PATK of the opponent, but also gives the state REGENand so life points are continuously restored.

Defeat the giant

These are the basic tips against the Astral Iron Giant, which has a huge defense, especially against elemental magic and summons, and deals a lot of physical damage with its huge sword. Therefore, it is important to decrease his PATK, increase your PDEF, avoid summons and decrease his PDEF so that you deal enough damage quickly.

Is the game in a bad state?

2 hours after the Ciritical Threat event officially started, the entire game had to be put into maintenance mode. After 4 hours Ever Crisis was playable again and the developers apologized with 300 Blue Crystals and 3 Stamina Tonics.

In addition, errors were noticed in the calculation of the stat bonuses of Materia. Again, there was a generous apology package. In the past, there were also boss fights that were deactivated after a few hours. Therefore, the question arises in what state Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is. The developers diligently push out new events almost every weekend, but the communities demand a whole bunch of QoL improvements or new story content. However, Square Enix is keeping a completely low profile here.

One can only hope that the publisher and the developers can get a grip on the problems and bring the game further forward. It would be a shame if players abandoned the game because they lost interest in it.
