Clue offers the possibility to exchange new Chocobos for Chocobo medals. New Chocobos are offered for sale every day, and your farm can house a maximum of 30 of them. However, this limit can be extended with the help of valuable crystals.

The entire Midgar and Grasslands areas are designed for the normal Chocobos. However, starting in the Wutai region, the terrain changes to mountains and you will need special Mountain Chocobos to begin expeditions in these arenas. Each Chocobo has been assigned a certain rank. Unlike the original game, this system doesn’t start with rank F, but even with rank H. Each rank is additionally divided into sub-ranks. By carrying out expeditions, your Chocobos gain experience points and rise in rank. In doing so, they not only improve their basic stats, but also their special characteristics, such as an increased gil or treasure droprate or more experience points per expedition.

Start an expedition
You can start the expeditions from Bill (Billy can also be found in the secondary screen). To start an expedition, select a region with a single sector, such as Midgar. By exploring an area repeatedly, you’ll unlock additional sectors. In doing so, you’ll also earn valuable achievements that will translate into further rewards.
Speed up expeditions and get rewards
An expedition lasts for several hours and can be accelerated with the help of Chocoboosters, which you can buy in the in-game store. You can also get them as rewards for achievements or by completing other missions. However, use the Chocoboosters carefully and remember to use them when you are actively playing and can’t wait patiently for the next expedition.
At the end of the expedition, you will be informed via a push notification and can collect the rewards, some of which can be very generous.

At the beginning, you have the possibility to carry out a maximum of 3 expeditions at the same time. To unlock more slots, you will need blue and red crystals.
